Main issues being that you all have to press continue in order for the game to advance, if you don't play at the same time then you can watch each others games etc. Best done if you play in the same league as it's very interesting seeing them play against the computer and the guarantee that you'll play each other twice a season which is for bragging rights (remember destroying my friend 7-1). Then the option I imagine you're after is where you'll play just a standard game as if it was solo but you're friends will also be in the game.
